Babysense is a unique baby-breathing monitor that was created in Israel. This device is a movement monitor that can track the breathing of babies and prevent infant mortality through SIDS or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. This occurs when an infant suddenly stops breathing and in cases where the parent or caregiver is not alerted in time, can be fatal for the infant. Babysense is the first monitor that accurately senses the babies movement and tracks its breathing patterns, alerting its caregivers when the baby develops sleep apnea or stops breathing for more than 20 seconds or if the babys heart rate drops lower than the desired amount. An audible alarm alerts the caregivers to the potentially fatal disruption that is taking place allowing them to take the necessary measures to save the child.
The technology was the first of its kind and has to this day been continuously updated to be even more effective than before. It is currently used throughout homes and hospitals throughout the world. Some of the places currently utilizing this technology include Europe, Israel, Australia, the United States and Canada.
